Absen

Absen LED walls for studios, stages and boardrooms.

Absen makes direct-view LED, from fine-pitch walls for control rooms and boardrooms to camera-facing panels for studios and virtual production. We quote and supply Absen LED and plan the system around it: the processor, the switcher or media server that feeds the wall, and the cameras that shoot it. Installation, structure and power are scoped in the proposal.

Absen lines for the rooms we build

LED is chosen by the room before the product: how close people sit, whether cameras face the wall, and how it gets serviced. These are the Absen families that fit the rooms our customers build.

  • Two LED cabinets on a reflective floor, one showing a colorful image on its face and one showing its die-cast rear housing

    Fine pitch · 0.78 to 1.87 mmKLCOB V2 and KLCOB Pro V2

Flip-chip COB walls built from 16:9 cabinets with front service of modules and power supplies. Pro V2 is the version for walls on camera: 7680 Hz refresh, 1000 nits and lower scan. Absen's newer KLCOB V3 runs 0.78 to 1.56 mm at 800 nits and 7680 Hz, with a 29.8 mm deep panel and dual backup for power and signal; we confirm which generation ships in the US on your quote.

For boardrooms, lobbies, control rooms and studio set walls.

  • Exploded view of an LED module surface showing its stacked protective, anti-reflection and anti-glare layers above an ultra-black base

    Premium fine pitch · 0.93 and 1.25 mmCL V3

Absen's top COB line: up to 1600 nits peak, 30,000:1 contrast, 7680 Hz and up to 95% DCI-P3. Absen says it minimizes flicker and scan lines during camera capture.

For executive spaces, lobbies, control rooms and set walls that close-ups will see.

  • Rendering of a boardroom with a large wall-mounted LED display above a long white table

    All-in-one · 108 to 205 inAbsen iCon displays

LED displays that ship as a kit, with the controller, audio and HDMI inputs built in. Ultrawide models suit hybrid meeting layouts, and Absen states compatibility with Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS and Yealink systems.

For meeting rooms, training rooms and lecture halls.

  • LCD wall replacement · 54 inAbsen M54

A 54-inch 1080p micro LED display built to replace 54 and 55-inch LCD video walls in 4x1, 3x3 and other layouts. Sending, receiving and hub functions are built into each display; it takes a standard HDMI input, works with standard LCD controllers and mounts on a wall or to VESA. Absen rates it at 600 nits.

  • Value fine pitch · 1.5, 1.87 and 2.5 mmNX series

Slim 16:9 panels with front or rear service and 7680 Hz refresh, for sanctuaries, classrooms and lobbies where the budget matters as much as the image.

  • Virtual productionPR series and MR floor

PR backdrop and ceiling panels run 7680 Hz, 1/8 scan or lower and frame rates up to 251 Hz; MR floor tiles are built for XR stages. They pair with the virtual studio systems we sell.

  • Stage and event panelsSA, AX Pro, NT Pro V2 and PL

Rental-grade panels for set backdrops, events and worship stages. SA1.5 is Absen's low-reflectance COB stage panel for on-camera use, AX Pro its 16:9 panel for close-up shooting, and NT Pro V2 the panel Absen recommends for worship.

Product families, pitches and figures are Absen's. Availability differs by country and generation, and we confirm the model that ships in the US on your quote.

Choosing an LED wall

Five decisions settle most LED projects: pixel pitch, cameras, the room, the feed and the size of the wall. We work through them with you before anything is quoted.

Pixel pitchHow close is the nearest viewer?

Absen sizes pitch to the distance at which viewers stop seeing individual pixels. A smaller pitch costs more and only pays off when people, or cameras, are close.

CamerasWill cameras face the wall?

Refresh rate and scan decide whether a wall shows lines or flicker on camera. Specify a camera-facing line such as KLCOB Pro V2, CL V3 or PR, and test it with your own cameras at the shutter speeds and frame rates you will shoot.

The roomStructure, power and service access

Front-service lines need no access space behind the wall. Weight, circuits and heat load go to your engineer early; Absen publishes power and heat load per square meter.

The feedWhat drives the wall?

An LED processor maps the image to the panels, and the switcher or media server has to output the wall's native size. A wall that is not 16:9 needs a source that can output a custom resolution sized to it; we plan that with the wall.

How big is a 1080p wall?

Absen's KLCOB and CL cabinets are 600 × 337.5 mm, 16:9. A full 1920 × 1080 image needs this many:

PitchCabinetsWall size and diagonal
0.93 mm3 × 3 cabinets1.80 × 1.01 m, about 81 in
1.25 mm4 × 4 cabinets2.40 × 1.35 m, about 108 in
1.56 mm5 × 5 cabinets3.00 × 1.69 m, about 136 in
1.87 mm6 × 6 cabinets3.60 × 2.03 m, about 163 in

Arithmetic from Absen's cabinet dimensions. A 4K image doubles each side.

An LED wall is part of a system

The wall is the visible part. Behind it sit the processor, the switcher or media server, the cameras and the control that make it useful. We quote Absen LED with that system planned, whether the wall goes behind a news desk, on a stage or in a boardroom.

  • Studios: camera-facing walls matched to the cameras and switcher already in the room.
  • Virtual production: LED stages planned with the virtual studio and XR systems we sell.
  • Meeting rooms: all-in-one displays tied into the room's conferencing and control.
  • Training: operators learn the wall, its processor and the system that feeds it.

Installation, mounting structure and power are scoped in the proposal.

What to send for an LED quote

  1. The wall: where it goes and the largest size the space allows, or the image size you want.
  2. Viewers and cameras: nearest and farthest viewer, and whether cameras face the wall, at what shutter and frame rate.
  3. The structure: what it mounts to, ceiling height, service access, and the delivery path into the room.
  4. Power and cooling: the circuits available and whether the HVAC can take the heat load.
  5. Sources and control: what feeds the wall, and any conferencing or room control system.
  6. Hours of use: a wall that runs all day needs backup power and signal.

A photo of the space and rough dimensions are enough to start.

Buying questions

LED wall or an all-in-one display for a meeting room?

An all-in-one Absen iCon display arrives as a kit with its controller, audio and inputs, and installs like a very large screen. A built wall makes sense when the size or shape goes beyond the all-in-one range, or the wall has to serve cameras or a stage as well.

Does the quote include mounting and installation?

Ours does. Absen quotes the cabinets and processing, plus its own mounting kits where a line has them. A wall that stands on its own needs a structure from a mounting manufacturer, and installation is separate again. We put the wall, the structure, power and installation into one proposal, so nothing turns up later.

Can we see Absen LED before we buy?

Absen runs a showroom in Manhattan, at 525 7th Avenue. What is on display changes and not every model is there, so tell us the product you are considering and we will check before you go.

What does the warranty cover?

Absen sets its standard warranty term in each quote and covers parts, not on-site labor. Absen sells optional extended warranty and maintenance plans for some lines; we confirm which apply to your purchase in the quote.

Send the space. We will size the wall.

Dimensions, a photo and how the wall will be used are enough to start. We come back with the pitch, the cabinet count, the processing and what it takes to feed it.
