EW-D is single-channel and set up from a phone app. EW-DX adds two- and four-channel receivers, Dante, AES-256 encryption and network control. SpeechLine Digital Wireless runs on the license-free DECT band for lecture halls and meeting rooms.

The usable UHF range depends on where the system runs, so the frequency variant is chosen once we know the location. Several receivers usually share antennas through an EW-D ASA splitter; the EW-DX EM 4 Dante has a splitter built in, with loop-through for up to four units.
