Microflex Wireless neXt puts wireless gooseneck, boundary, handheld and bodypack mics on an access point, on the ceiling or wall (neXt 4 and 8) or the table (neXt 2), with Dante, USB and analog out and built-in processing. For a formal chamber with request-to-speak and voting, Shure makes a separate discussion system.

BLX is analog and simple. SLX-D+, QLX-D, ULX-D and Axient Digital are digital with AES-256 encryption, and they differ in channel density, Dante and rack format. The usable frequency band depends on where the system will run, so we check it first.

Piscataway Township council chamber
For Piscataway Township, Varto built the path from the dais out: Shure Microflex Wireless microphones, Panasonic PTZ cameras into TriCaster switching, an Allen & Heath SQ-5 on Dante, and a Blustream matrix carrying the same capability to the zoning and planning rooms. Varto designed, integrated and commissioned the rooms, trained the township staff and still supports the systems.
That chamber runs on the original Microflex Wireless, which Shure has discontinued, so a new room starts on MXW neXt. Shure wireless microphones are also part of the audio setup in our East Rutherford demonstration studio.
