Trio drives unlimited Viz Engines and its Adaptive Graphics reach video walls and virtual sets, so the same seat grows with the room.

NDI is the reason any of this talks to the rest.

NDI moves video, audio and control data across an ordinary network, and it is now the most widely used way to do that in our industry. It is the single biggest reason a Vizrt room extends cleanly instead of being rebuilt.

Vizrt owns it

NDI is a Vizrt technology, and we are a Vizrt Platinum Partner. The standard and the systems that speak it come from the same place, and so does the support.

It is in everything we ship

Every TriCaster, 3Play, Connect box, PTZ camera and NRS volume on this page is NDI native. That is what lets a room grow without a cable pull per signal.

It leaves the building

NDI Bridge carries full streams across a WAN or the public internet, so a second campus, a remote gallery or a cloud switcher joins the same fabric.

Vizrt diagram of a PTZ3 Plus camera connected by a single gigabit ethernet cable carrying power, camera control, tally, NDI audio, NDI HX3 video and FreeD positioning data

One cable: power, control, tally, audio, video and camera position data

This is the practical version of the argument. A PTZ3 Plus on an NDI network needs one ethernet run for power, camera control, tally, audio, video and FreeD position data. The old way was four cables and a control box per camera.

Multiply that across a chamber, a gym or a sanctuary and the saving is not the camera price. It is the conduit, the labour and every future change you did not have to re-pull cable for.

// lane 06 · virtual sets and xr

No green screen. No cyc. No repaint.

The loudest thing Vizrt is shipping right now, and the part of the line that rewards an integrator most. A virtual set is a licence, an engine, a GPU, a camera and a room, and the specifying is where these go wrong. We design it, build it, commission it and train the crew that runs it.

Two frames side by side: on the left a presenter stands in a lit green screen studio with an AI pose-estimation skeleton tracked over her body, and on the right the same presenter composited into a photoreal rainy neon-lit city street virtual set

AI pose estimation on the left, the finished set on the right · Vizrt photography

What you get

A studio in a room you already have

Vizrt’s AI Keyer puts a presenter inside a virtual set without a green screen, a cyc wall or a repaint. Conference rooms, classrooms and council chambers become sets.

What it takes

A licence, an engine, and the right GPU

An AI Keyer licence, Viz Engine 5, and a correctly specified ADA 5000-class GPU. The specifying is the part that goes wrong when nobody does it, and it is the part we do.

What it becomes

Reflections and shadows, from one GPU

Reality Connect uses AI pose estimation to cast real reflections and shadows from your talent into the virtual set, natively in Viz Engine, on a single GPU.

Viz CaptureCast

A network appliance that captures, composes, streams and publishes a room, over NDI, without an operator sitting in it. Vizrt aims it at lecture halls and meeting rooms. It is just as good at the Tuesday night that has to become a public record, which is the job nobody else is building for.

Presentation extraction indexes the slides and the text off the stream, so the archive is searchable rather than just long. Control is a browser, and Command Center runs every unit on the network from one place once you have more than one room.

Trade-up paths. Live manufacturer credit programs cover TriCaster, 3Play and control panels, and they also cover switchers that are not Vizrt at all. Running an ATEM, a vMix rig, a Roland, a Ross or a Livestream Studio? It is still worth asking. // straight answers

What Vizrt buyers ask.

What does Vizrt Platinum Partner actually mean for us?

It is the top tier of the Vizrt Partner Program, with authorization across the full portfolio. Platinum on its own is not rare. What is rarer is holding it alongside an authorized repair bench and an authorized training centre at the same address, which means the team quoting your system also fixes it and teaches it.

How much does a TriCaster cost?

The honest answer is that the system price and the model price are different numbers, which is why we quote rather than post a figure. What actually moves it: how many inputs you cut, whether you need a control surface, SDI versus IP, which ProTek tier you want, and whether we are racking and commissioning it. Tell us the show and you will have a written quote quickly, with authorized pricing and a real manufacturer warranty behind it.

Can I trade in a switcher that is not a TriCaster?

Often, yes. The manufacturer credit programs cover TriCaster, 3Play and control panels, and they have also covered competitive switchers. If you are running an ATEM, a vMix rig, a Roland, a Ross or a Livestream Studio, it is worth one conversation before you assume it is worth nothing.

Is my TriCaster 2 Elite obsolete?

Not on your bench. Vizrt issued an end-of-sale statement for the TriCaster 2 Elite in September 2024. Under their published lifecycle policy, end of life falls roughly two years after end of sale, which puts it around September 2026, and support and spares run on that same window. We are a Vizrt Authorized Repair Center, so we repair it, cover it and rent against it today, and when the window closes the trade-up desk prices the move honestly rather than urgently.

Where can I get a TriCaster or 3Play repaired?

Here. We are a Vizrt Authorized Repair Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey, about twenty minutes from Manhattan, and authorized benches are far less common than resellers. Eligible systems can be repaired regardless of where they were originally purchased. Tell us the model, the serial and the fault and we will tell you what is involved before anything ships.

We bought NewTek gear years ago. Are you still the right people?

Yes. NewTek became Vizrt, and the TriCaster and 3Play lines carried straight through. We sold and serviced the NewTek line before the transition and we are authorized on the Vizrt portfolio after it, so nothing about your installed base fell through a gap.

Can I rent one before I buy it?

Yes, and we encourage it. We keep a rental fleet prepped on the same bench that sells and repairs these systems, so a rental is a legitimate tryout rather than a different box. Rental history is the most honest way to find out whether a tier is right, and we will say plainly if the unit you rented is more machine than your show needs.

Do I need a control surface with a TriCaster?

No, every TriCaster runs fully from its interface. A surface buys you speed and muscle memory, which matters when the show is live, fast, or run by a rotating crew. Vizrt currently makes five: Flex Dual, Flex, the Mini Control Surface, the 4-Stripe and the 3Play panel. Which one fits depends on the system you land on, and there is a full compatibility matrix behind that answer.

Vizion or a Mini: how do I know which tier is honest for us?

The inputs you actually cut, the room’s next three years, and your crew’s hands. The comparison table above starts the conversation, a demo settles it, and a rental proves it before a purchase order exists.

Is NDI good enough for real live production?

It is what the industry now builds against, and Vizrt owns it, currently at NDI 6.3. Every system on this page is NDI native. In practice it is the reason a room extends without a cable pull per signal: a PTZ3 Plus carries power, camera control, tally, audio, video and position data over one ethernet run. For contribution beyond the building, NDI Bridge carries full streams across a WAN or the public internet.

Do you offer TriCaster training?

Yes. We are a Vizrt Authorized Training Center, so training happens on the same systems we sell and repair, taught by people who operate them. Ask us about current course options and scheduling, including private on-site sessions for a whole crew.

Can you build a virtual set without a green screen?

That is exactly what Vizrt’s AI Keyer does, and it is the loudest thing they are shipping right now. It needs an AI Keyer licence, Viz Engine and a correctly specified GPU, which is the part that goes wrong when nobody owns it. We scope the room, the camera and the hardware, then build and commission it.

Do you only sell it, or do you install it too?

Both, on all of it. We are authorized across the full Vizrt portfolio, so the same team quotes the system, racks it, commissions it, trains your crew and repairs it afterwards. Some products on this page carry a list price and some are configured per room, but that is a fact about the product, not about how far we go with it.

// start anywhere

Name the model, or describe the room.

If you know the part number, we will quote it. If you know the problem and not the product, that is the other door, and it is the one most good projects start with.
